The title comes from the lyrics of a chorus to a song my wife has often sung. The songwriter and singer was Allan Smethurst, known as The Singing Postman. He lived in Norfolk, England, where my wife also hails from. Curiously my wife has been singing some of the words incorrectly for as long as I've known her. It was only when we managed to find a recording on YouTube that we heard what the words actually were.
Though there was no attempt when writing the piano piece to imitate a train, the title seemed appropriate once the music was completed.
