This beautiful choral work for treble voices and piano is a wash of sound reflecting the beauty of the Emily Dickinson poem of the same name. The lilting melody suggestive of wings builds to soaring emotive chords followed by a swirling canonic section resolving to a pensive solo line to finish. Choirs will enjoy singing the close harmonies and the sweet piano accompaniment adds to the beauty of the overall work. An excellent choice for any choir wishing to celebrate female composers and poets and an excellent choice for the NZ composer section of the Big Sing.
