The Icicles is a beautiful choral arrangement of a Janet Frame poem. The piano that represents the dripping icicles works closely with the choir. The surprising choral chords richly compliment the depth of the piano and the text. This work allows for all voice ranges to shine. Close attention to the text and singing through the line, unity of vowels and control of dynamics will make this piece an enjoyable work for any secondary or community choir to sing.
