I'll Cut My Heart is a choral composition by NZ Composer, Juliet Woller, to the poem by Korean poet Chong Ch'ol (1536–1593).

I'll cut my heart! I'll cut my heart to form a moon
and hang it brightly in a far comer of the sky.
Then I'll go to my love and shine my light upon him.

The music is written to feel like a wash of sound, with overlapping lines rippling like moonlight through the leaves. The early moments of dissonance and dark tones give way to an exuberant chordal climax on the word "shine" (in bar 36) which soon disolves back to the reflective mood of the beginning.
