About
"Name· The Eleven of us!" is one of the works of composer Hanzhong Kang Han-Yin Method· Name series. The pitches in each movement are derived from the individual names of each performer. Han-Yin Composition Method is an interdisciplinary study of 24 Microtones, Chinese Pin Yin(Pronunciation) and ancient Chinese literature.
The 11 movements are very different in style, but the relationship between them can be described as "You have me, I have you"
Rules of use of HanYin Method· Name series:
1. Each note will correspond to a letter of Pinyin, and the pitch material comes from the personal name of the performer
2. The pitch material generated by each movement will derive its unique harmony and mode 3. The letters Y and Z (25th and 26th tones) are Buff Notes, and their optional corresponding methods include:
a. Shout out the word
b. Hit the instrument (the rhythm can be improvised)
c. The performer completes the improvisation within the specified measure (phrases are derived from the fixed notes of the movement)
4. Name series must show the personal character and characteristics of the performer. Each movement must have a different style
5. The Name series must end with the youngest performer in the band, and must include the phrase material of all previous movements.
This is called " mirror movement"
