About
"Drunken Madness" is composed for piano solo, which is intended to challenge the limits of pianists and show live performance art. The suggested duration is 7 minutes. "Drunken Madness" was originally a Guqin piece composed by Ruan Ji who lived in the mountains and forests in seclusion during the Chinese's Three Kingdoms period. The poems are derived from Chinese poet Li Bai's "Four Poems to Drink Alone under the Moon-Part Two" and "Invitation to Wine" This piece requires the pianist to imitate the Tang Dynasty poet Li Bai, wearing a Tang costume, and complete a series of behaviors such as drinking pretending to be drunk, chanting poems, persuading wine, and composing poems. To express the rich inner world of ancient Chinese literati.
