A Day In The Village embodies the joyful, bustling atmosphere of village life. In the piece, there are several small musical motifs that intertwine with one another and journey through various keys and tonalities, symbolising all the different "goings-on" in one's day-to-day life in a small community. The piece is both peaceful and hurrying in its nature, concluding with the violin and piano gently ascending upwards as night swiftly falls upon the village.
