About
These songs were written by Ben Hoadley in 1990 after discovering the stunning first edition of Christina Rossetti's Sing-Song: A Nursery Rhyme Book, illustrated by Arthur Hughes in the Dorothy Neal White collection of children's books at the National Library of New Zealand.
They were first performed in Auckland in 1995 by Victoria Poole and Fiona McCabe and later in a revised version by Henrietta Reid and Ben Hoadley in Auckland, and Wendy Dixon and David Miller in Sydney.
