About
'Piano Trio' is the first piece I have written in more than one movement. The second movement is the most energetic and thematically driven; in the outer movements themes are short and fragmentary, subservient to the overall ambient effect in the first movement and the harmonic pattern in the third. The third movement moves harmonically upward through perfect fifths, until it returns to its original chord, while a Bb pedal point is maintained.
