About
Three Micros was written in 2016. The title refers to the use of microtonality and the fact that the pieces are reasonably short with one aesthetic concept for each micro.
The first micro looks at massed texture and slowly evolving textures and timbres.
The second micro looks at harmony and voice leading considerations in a similar way to Charles Ives.
The third micro looks at harmonic noise when playing microtonal notes that are not at a nodal point on a string.
