About
Piecette: A very small piece. Composed in Toronto; I used as my model the ‘parkette’ found in this city – small, often very small open spaces with maybe a park bench and a couple of small trees, wedged in between city buildings and providing a place of brief respite for the urban dweller.
In my ‘town plan’ – twenty-four piecettes, each a standard length of eight bars, with various instructions for the performer.
