Judith Bell

Composer

Biography

Judith Bell started composing at 12 years and was lucky to work with Composer-in-Schools, Dorothy Buchanan. She went on to complete a MusB (Hons) in composition from the University of Canterbury. She has since spent much of her life conducting, teaching and arranging music for ensembles and orchestras which have an inclusive group of students with varied ranges of experience and varied instrumentation. She also performs regularly in big bands and smaller groups on saxophone, clarinet, trombone and flute.
