The work, “explores the past, present and future of Ōtautahi Christchurch through some of the stories and voices associated with the Ōtākaro / Avon river. Three vocalists sing settings of texts found on the Ōtakaro Literary Trail, a series of pepeha and fragments from poems and letters engraved into the steps and walkways along the river bank in the central city.” It is a co-composition of UC Associate Professor Reuben de Lautour and taonga puoro exponent Mahina-Ina Kingi-Kaui (Ngāi Tahu, Kati Mamoe, Ngati Porou, Te Āti Haunui-a-Pāpārangi)
