About
Throughout the piece, the ensemble is constantly in tension with itself; rhythmically, melodically and harmonically in ways that transform and grow as the piece goes through a series of unstable moments. Between these outbursts, there are moments of beauty, even grandeur, in acknowledgement that sometimes beauty can come from places of brokenness – in the midst of significant change and altering to the land and people, there is new life and hope amongst uncertainty.
