About

Inspired by the chime-like call of New Zealand's native Bellbird (Maori: Korimako), the four interweaving motifs of "Korimako Bells" are based on field recordings from Abel Tasman National Park, and expanded to reflect the Korimako's beautiful, undulating song.

Commissioned note

Written for Nikau Harp Trio for their Southern Concert Tour, and commissioned via Boosted NZ
