A traditional-style chant written by the late Sir Eruera Tirikatene. It tells of the spirit journey from our sacred mountain Aoraki, to the Pacific, the Chatham Islands, back to Te Waipounamu (the South Island), and then on to Aotearoa (the North Island). Thank you to the Tirikatene whanau for permission to use this waiata.
