About
'still: waiting' is a continuation of a series of pieces that I began last year ('still: searching' for piano). Each piece focuses around the word still, in both the sense of something happening repeatedly, but also in the sense of stillness being of a slower pace, a step back. This piece focuses around the idea of waiting. The sense of longing for something that has not arrived. The sense of going nowhere; suspended, but at the same time the anticipation and potential frustration in waiting for something that is yet to come.
