About
This is a freely improvised work, recorded. There is no sheet music available for this work. The musicians made it up entirely in the moment using intuition and musicianship. There was no conversation about what we were going to do, we simply began, continued and ended.
It's "written" because it was recorded, which changes the nature of improvisation into something else. It takes the music from being 'unknown' as it was at the time we played it and turns it into 'known'. It has been captured, you can listen to it over and over again, it is transcribable, however that's all there is to it. A recording, nothing more. This is the nature of the work, it's not traditional in an institutional classical sense.
