Gloria in Excelsis Deo is an adaptation of the final chorus from Ray's opera The Three Shepherds for organ and choir. The chorus was designed to be sung by high school students who had never sung in four-part harmony before. It is a very traditional and conservative work but full of power - almost Handelian in its flavour...
