The New Zealand String Quartet embark on a 13-centre national tour for Chamber Music New Zealand's Associate Societies. Their progamme varies from centre to centre but one of the constants is Songs Without Words, a newly commissioned work from "Victoria Kelly":/contributor/composer/1226. Victoria says of her work: “My inspiration for this piece has been my daughter and the way in which she and I forge understandings without words… in her case, without even the concept of language or the acknowledgement of a world beyond the intimacy of her and me.”
