Grandfather Said It!
Lois Johnston will sing a cycle of newly-commissioned songs composed by Mike Crowl, set to words by Dorothy Parker. A slightly more reflective Dorothy is on display here, though there's still some bite!
Lois will also perform four songs from a cycle by Christchurch composer Jeremy Woodside. Texts by various poets.
And to add to the treats, Claire Barton will perform Mike Crowl's setting of eight short poems by Dunedin poet, Peter Olds, entitled Small Pictures of Dunedin. These were last performed in 2009.
Mike will accompany Lois and Claire.
No entry fee, but a Koha as a donation to the Church and the artists would be appreciated.
