In the May concert Baroque Voices performed works which explored similar ideas but which were separated by centuries. It featured a theme of ‘duality / opposites’ … old & new, female & male with sub-themes of ‘beginnings / genesis’, ‘praise’ and ‘holiness’. Alongside old masters, seven world premieres were given, all Baroque Voices commissions, four of which were funded through Creative New Zealand.
