This piece was written for classical guitar, taonga puroro with backing track. The backing track includes taonga puroro (traditional Maori instruments) samples recorded by Horomona Hora. The three instruments used are Putorino tangi, purerehua and putaatara. All backing instruments have various digital effects applied to them, including reverb, delay and fuzz-wha. It is possible that the second pre-recorded guitar part be played live.
