Improvisations for Piano and String Quartet based on a small chorus from Italian composer A Cesti (1623-1669) opera Orontea.
I was in Sienna observing this beautiful old city, sensing life in bygone years . A juxtaposition with tourist and their modern digital gadgets, was the excuse for this short composition. The story of Orontea is another link.
