Arteria Meridionale, or Southern Arteries, are a nod to the relationship I have with Italy. I have spent a great deal of time in that beautiful country and have been fortunate to have had a number of works premiered there, including my second opera * The Juniper Passion*. "Arteria Meridionale No. 2" is based on one of the chant themes from that opera, re-worked into a solo piano piece.
