Three Preludinos from a Concertino
for solo piano

I had the idea of writing short pieces which take the iconic theme of the last movement of John’s ‘Clarinet Concertino’ as a starting point, thinking that other composers who knew him could also do this. During one or two of our Auckland-only lockdowns, I got started on these three very short ‘Preludinos’ and have just finished them off... Perhaps others could also follow suit.
