About
Samuel Holloway has a longstanding friendship with artist Kate Newby, and a similarly enduring relationship with her work. May was written in response to Newby’s practice, reflecting on attention and care, openness and possibility, gentleness and congeniality, and blurring the space between work and context.
This work was written on the occasion of YES TOMORROW, an exhibition by Kate Newby at Adam Art Gallery Te Pātaka Toi.
