Kite Weather recalls the composer’s experience of, “waiting with my nephew in the wilds of Pirongia for the right conditions to launch his new kite in. I like to think it invokes the tranquillity of waiting, the excitement of the launch, and the grandeur of the kite soaring in the air.”
