This piece is a short delicate work that employs my “Gimel” compositional technique, which I developed in 2011. Gimel is the third letter in the Hebrew alphabet, so Gimel compositions are characterised by the number 3: there are three chords in the piece, repeated throughout and always in the same sequential order; the time signature is 3/4; and the music is structured in three bar phrases. With this piece I sought to write unapologetically beautiful music.
