About
As a young man I spent time working as a musician on the Soviet cruise liner the Mikhail Lermontov (ironically it sank in the Marlborough Sounds, but I’d left by then). We’d visit Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria often. What I loved most about those places at the time was the music and shows I saw on local TV. I think with hindsight most of it was from Egypt. The memory inspired this arrangement and features Dan Yeabsley on sax and Tristan Carter in violin.
