This short piece was one of a series of pieces commissioned over many years for the Junior School at Diocesan School for Girls, Auckland. Each year a group of advanced performers is formed called the Dionamics.
The piece for 2007 was to include trumpet and saxophone players, and therefore a piece with a rhythmic rock or ragtime feel was requested.
