Salutes to Seven Poets was originally composed in 1952 for violin and piano. In 2010, Donald Maurice adapted the work for viola and piano, and gave the first performance of this version with pianist Richard Mapp on 30 June 2010, at St Andrew's on the Terrace, Wellington.
