About

This piece grew out of a microscore, 30 seconds long, written for the ensemble 175East in 1999. This original miniature, scored for flute, bass clarinet and glockenspiel, has been expanded into a 5 minute work for flute, clarinet/bass clarinet, bassoon and piano. It is the third of a group of chamber works exploring the fleeting, fickle and whimsical workings of the subconscious mind, the other two works being Inquietude for mixed chamber ensemble, and Fragment for String Quartet.
