About
This works exists in three versions, two called Songs of Mystic Jade written in 2003 and revised in 2005 and the third called Lute of Jade which was completed in 2007.
The composer came across a book of classical poetry of China, called A Lute of Jade by L. Cranmer-Byng in which he was drawn to the poems of Ssu-k'ung T'u, the most philosophical of the poets in the collection.
