Waitangi Anthem was written in the late 1950s and recorded in 1964 on Kiwi EP record Bay of Islands, sung by Colin Fenton with the Te Rangatahi Maori Group under the leadership of the Rev. Napi Waaka, who also provided a Maori translation. Willow revised the lyrics to reflect Maori feelings about the Treaty in 1989, and privately published the anthem in time for the 150th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty in 1990.
