No vocalist has given the experimental music scene in downtown Manhattan more of his time and talent than Thomas Buckner. The composers on this CD, a varied cross-section of new music circa 1990, are all close to that experimental scene, and this disc represents a small part of what Buchner has done to create and sustain a vocal new-music tradition in New York.
