Warriors from Pluto features the NZSO Chamber Orchestra conducted by Marc Decio Taddei in collaboration with Strike and Deborah Wai Kapohe. The album contains five works by Gareth Farr, including its extra-terrestrial title work, a four-movement suite from music to The End of the Golden Weather and a work based on themes for the television police-drama Duggan.
