About
The Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra hosts the Trusts Secondary Composers' Competition where high school students submit a composition for workshops led by the APO's current Composer in Residence. From this a group of finalists are chosen to have their completed works performed and recorded.
On this disk are recordings of the compositions of the 2009 finalists conducted by Tecwyn Evans. The winner, adjudicated by Chris Adams (APO Composer in Residence for 2009), was Stephen Clothier's Ascent of the Blessed with Katie Braatvedt's A Study in Choreography for Camera was awarded a Highly Commended.
