The 2000 yearbook of the Composers' Association of New Zealand contains obituaries for two leading composers: Jack Speirs and Dorothy Freed. Other articles include an interview with Penny Axtens, inaugural winner of the NZSO-RNZ Concert Lilburn Prize, a review of the Nelson Composers' Workshop and the SOUNZ Contemporary Award, a reflection by Ross Carey of his year as Mozart Fellow, and an article by Chris Watson about the founding of Stroma.
