About
New Zealand Piano Works in two volumes
These two volumes of New Zealand Piano Works mark the first publication of New Zealand music in China and provide a collection of 38 illustrative works by New Zealand composers from the past 100 years. The 24 leading New Zealand composers found in this collection present a representation of New Zealand musical excellence and achievement. Collectively, each work tells a unique New Zealand story and reveals a glimpse of New Zealand life, culture or history.
The collection is organised by increasing level of technical difficulty and musical complexity, and provides fresh and engaging repertoire choices for different performance settings, from concerts to competitions. Furthermore, this collection will provide a musical lens for Chinese piano students, teachers, and professional pianists to explore and experience the vibrant New Zealand musical life and culture.
