Matthew Marshall is one of New Zealand's leading classical guitarists. He has performed throughout Europe, Asia, America, Pacific Islands, Australasia and from Iceland to Easter Island! From 1996-2006 he was Head of the Conservatorium of Music at Massey University in Wellington, New Zealand and in 2006 was appointed Professor and Director of Music at Dartington College of the Arts (UK).
This album brings together diverse works and artists: from Albeniz and Terzi to world premiere recordings of works by New Zealand composers Philip Norman, John Ritchie, Michael Hogan and Kenneth Young, and involving collaborations with Carol Hohauser (flute), Gunter Herbig (guitar) and the Vector Wellington Orchestra, conducted by Kenneth Young.
