I play the piano and a variety of other weird and wonderful keyboards: toy piano, Indian harmonium, a range of electronic instruments/synths and hybrids such as the Magnetic Resonator Piano.
Two fun facts:
1. I have recently moved to the north of Ireland, where I joined a group of people who swim in the freezing Atlantic at least once a week (no wetsuits - just regular togs!).
2. One of my most memorable (post)-concert experiences is launching my record at a contemporary music festival and then proceeding to spill beer all over American composer Julia Wolfe's iPhone at the pub afterwards. Julia's group "Bang on a Can" performed an incredible version of her work "Flower Power" at the festival. She was very sweet and calm about the incident, dried her phone with her hat and we spent a long time chatting about nature, music and her dog.

I am collaborating with Austrian composer Karlheinz Essl on several realisations of his radical reinterpretation of Bach's Goldberg Variations with live electronics, Gold.Berg.Werk.
