Pianist (and composer) Ross Carey has been living and working in Australia. He returns to present this piano concert of New Zealand and Australian works including the premiere of Judith Exley's Puketitiri, commissioned with funding from Hutt City Creative Communities 2007 and premieres of Wire Dogs by Helen Bowater and Three Studies on Ancient Idioms by Susan Frykberg.
Ross will take a number of the works on this programme to
the "International Women's Composing Festival":/events/show/466 in Beijing in April.
Also included are eight short pieces from the WPIG's "Sunrise":/manifestations/show/8098 Album for beginning pianists.
