This will be the second performance of Whale Song, a work from Anthony Ritchie for double bass and orchestra. It is another in the series of NZSO commissions from New Zealand composers of pieces that feature the orchestra's principal players as soloists. Pietari Inkinen conducts and Dale Gold is the soloist.
