The programme kicks off with American Kenji Bunch's toe-tappin' Grooveboxes before swinging into the smooth bluesy sounds of kiwi Judy Bailey's So Many Rivers. The grand master Beethoven provides a burst of youthful energy with his Piano Trio in E Flat Major, then it’s back to the future with a hint of jazz club in Paul Schoenfield's Café Music. Brazilian Raimundo Penaforte's An Eroica Trio brings the concert to a lyrical, latin-american close.
