The New Zealand String Quartet’s 30th anniversary tour hits the road in August and September, with concerts in 13 centres from Kerikeri to Dunedin. The tour features two programmes exploring themes of love and desire and will take you on an emotional rollercoaster ride through some of the great works of the repertoire by Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Schumann, Bartok and Janacek, as well as “Saetas” by NZ composer Jack Body, in which cellist Rolf Gjelsten reveals his hidden talent as an accordionist!
