W A Mozart - String Quartet No 1 in G major KV 80 Sam Piper - Dance of the Sidhe Zhou Long - Eight Chinese Folk Songs Franz Schubert - String Quartet No 15 in G major Op. 161 D. 887
The concert begins with Mozart's sparkling String Quartet No 1 in G KV80 and ends with Schubert's last quartet, a work where dark battles light. The programme is completed by Zhou Long's colourful 'Eight Chinese Folk Songs' and the toe-tapping 'Dance of the Sidhe' by NZ composer Sam Piper.
