Horomona Horo - taonga pūoro New Zealand String Quartet Voices New Zealand Chamber Choir
This is the world premiere of a dramatic new work written in commemoration of World War I by composer Ross Harris, poet Vincent O’Sullivan and taonga pūoro composer Horomona Horo.
The work interweaves text from the Requiem Mass with poetry, taonga pūoro and string quartet. With its atmospheric resonance, Wellington Cathedral of St Paul provides an evocative setting for this passionate plea against the horror of war.
