Percussion star Dame Evelyn Glennie returns to Auckland for an exciting performance of John Psathas’s double concerto for percussion, piano and orchestra.
View from Olympus is full of emotion, nostalgia and driving rhythms from the solo percussion and piano parts.
The orchestra and esteemed conductor Hans Graf then present another emotionally charged work, Rachmaninov’s epic Symphony No. 2, full of the warmth and lush colours that so strongly define this composer’s musical language.
