Outstanding chamber soloists Stephen de Pledge and Martin Rummel divide their time between New Zealand and Europe, where they perform regularly for the most prestigious festivals and concert halls. This will be their first performance together in China. New Zealand pianist Stephen De Pledge is one of the most exciting and versatile musicians of his generation. Stephen's solo performances have taken him throughout the UK, as well as to Hong Kong, Italy, France, Singapore, Japan, Australia and the USA. As a chamber musician, Stephen has collaborated with such famous groups as Chamber Domaine, the Berlin Philharmonic Wind Quintet, the English Chamber Orchestra Ensemble and the Scottish Ensemble. He has recently performed in New York, Dresden, Bogotà, Shanghai, Paris and Beijing, and he regularly performs at many international festivals in the UK and abroad. Austrian cellist Martin Rummel is one of the most successful - and busiest - musicians of his generation. He is a regular performer at the most prestigious venues and festivals in Europe and he has recorded more than 25 internationally celebrated CD recordings. Mr Rummel is the owner of the record label/publisher paladino music, and was the artistic director of KlassikMusikfestMühlviertel and Wiener Gitarrefestival. He is also the president of the Vienna Music Group and has a monthly radio show on Radio Stephansdom, an Austrian classical broadcast company.
